When I was taking the group out driving around (back when gas was .80cent a gallon) and make sure the friends where OK. Go to the mcdonalds on the other side of the territory (hey they had the best cheese danishes.) there were certain people I could visit that would feed me (older folks who looked at me as their grand sith.) wait for a call to get home in 15-20 minutes who I knew was not coming.

What kind of things did you do when going door to door to add time?
by whyizit ini was intrigued by an earlier post.
the point was made that the jws are going door-to-door to meet a quota and are not really concerned about the people they are witnessing to, but only in saving their own butts.
has anyone ever had a non-jw friend and asked them if they could talk about jehovah for a while to them, in order to fill the time they need?

That sounds a lot like the book think and grow rich. I really do believe thatall of us make our own eventualities, on a sub-consous level.

In a few sentances, why did you leave the truth?........
by jambon1 inif you had to write down just a few sentances about why you left the truth, what would you say?.......
jambon;.
wholeheartedly embraced it for a few years after love bombing etc then saw widespread hypocrisy.

there are people there I would like to force strangle. And then zap with force lightning. And then cut up with my lightsabre. And then...well you get the picture.

Punishing GB members, COs and elders
by greendawn inhow do you think the gb members along with the cos and elders should be punished for the way they emotionally and spiritually abuse and hurt the flocks of the naive r&f?

Like TMS said 'finding happiness'. Living well is and will always be the best revenge. I love to here about those 'friends' asking about me. They hope to hear that you're doing bad on hard times, unhappy, or strung out on drugs and have an std, because they hear all the time, about how thats what happens when you leave the TROOF. The best thing you can do is move on with your life and watch as they struggle waiting patiently for 1914,1925,1975,2000.

While raking my yard today a had an epithany. I started to thinking, being in the witness organization is a lot like being in an inbred family. Think about the reasons that getting with your sister or fist cousins are wrong. 1. It stifles the gene pool and does not allow expansion of the DNA to evolve to new levels of growth and stability. 2. Because of said closed gene pool new ideas thoughts and revelations are dulled (kinda like the copy of a copy of a copy fade.) 3. Just like the confusion that would result from your sister being your wife and mother of your neices and nephews (not to mention the no teeth thing), it creates inherent problems that cant be escaped. Back when I left one friend of mine would always say 'just go to another hall.' but no matter how many different halls you go to each one has the same problems, clicks and the holier than thou spirit. 6 months at a new hall and the same issues, attitude and spirit will rear its ugly head just with new names and faces.

How do Elders handle non-Baptized believers who ask too many questions?
by WingCommander inas follow up to my last post (sorry it didn't all paste from my word document for some reason) i'd like to ask a question.
some of us have now seen how sickoflies jc committee meeting went, and i know alot on here have there own experiences.
so my question is this: i have been a non-baptized publisher (born in jw's) for almost my entire life.

now ya'll k'no the WT$ aint goin let a lil thang like not being baptized keep them from puttin' you in yo place. There is a scripture, in Timothy I believe, that talks about marking someone that is not a brother or in the troof as they would tell it. They use this scripture to essentially disfellowship someone with apostate leanings who is not baptized.

What is your favorite Bible?
by inquirer ini have a couple: new american bible, new jerusalem bible, new world translation and the world english bible.
i know i am going to cop it because i like the new world translation -- i have done a lot of research on it, and don't come to the same conclusion as nearly everyone else and think it's automatically bad just because it's done by the jw's.
doesn't mean i am pro-catholic because i like their bibles too...

What do the Dubs Think When....
by Honesty in.
they hear an announcement at the beginning of the service meeting that "xxxxx is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses"?.
i think most of them are so brainwashed that they actually believe that jehovah is "sifting and cleaning" his organization.. that's what i used to think until i discovered the truth about the watchtower bible and tract society.
-
darth frosty
Dubs are brainwashed to think that anyone who leaves its for something they are doing. My moms favorite thing is 'Jehovah has withdrawn his spirit from them.' Never mind the elder who is banging someone other than his wife or the MS with the gambling problem. But, this guy who questions the WT$ no holy spirit for him.

Annoucement about "Accidents and Emergencies" at Convention
by stillAwitness inapril 2006 km:
accidents and emergencies: emergency-response services have complained that they receive many cell-phone calls over minor matters.
if a medical emergency arises at the convention site, please contact a nearby attendant, who will immedietly notiy first aid so that our qualified personnel on site can assess the seriousness of the situation and render assistance.

The problem my ladies, this is the WBT$$ we're talking about. when an organization calls 911 to there premises, said organization is liable for the bill of the emergency service. Therefore the WT$ wants to make sure their crack staff decides on whether the nature of the emergency calls for EMS or not.
